Introduction
Connections is located in Chicago, Illinois in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood. It is an innovative school based on the small school model, and it operates under the aegis of Brian Piccolo Specialty School, a larger, more traditional elementary school. Connections is particularly interesting because it was started and is run by a group of especially devoted teachers and because of the success it has had in raising test scores in a short five years.
