Stanley TigermanStanley Tigerman, FAIA
Co-Founder, Director, Archeworks
M Arch, Yale University

Principal of Tigerman McCurry Architects and the former Director of the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Architecture, Mr. Tigerman is a practicing architect and product designer whose work is internationally recognized.

The author of six books, he has been a visiting professor at numerous institutions. The winner of over 125 design awards, he represented the U.S. at the Venice Biennale in 1976 and 1980.

Eva MaddoxEva Maddox, FIIDA, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP
Co-Founder, Program Director, Archeworks

Recently named by Fast Company as one of the "change agents... designers, & dreamers who are creating your future," Eva Maddox is Principal of Perkins & Will | Eva Maddox Branded Environments. Ms. Maddox created Branded Environments, a research-based design approach that identifies & integrates a client's DNA into tangible experiences. She is the recipient of Chicago Magazine's 2002 Chicagoan of the Year; and 2000 Star Award from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) honoring her outstanding leadership and contribution to design. In 1999, she was elected to IIDA's College of Fellows and in 1992, Ms. Maddox was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame. She is co-founder of Archeworks, an alternative design school in Chicago. She received the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati in 2006.

Sarah Dunn
Research Director, Archeworks (starting with the 2008-2009 academic year)

Felsen and Dunn are founding principals of UrbanLab in Chicago.  UrbanLab is an award-winning design firm that has designed civic, commercial and residential projects.  Recently, UrbanLab won the History Channel’s ‘City of the Future’ competition, and Felsen won the AIA Chicago Dubin Family Young Architect Award. Both Felsen and Dunn are graduates of the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) at Columbia University in New York City. Felsen is an Associate Studio Professor at the College of Architecture, IIT, and Dunn is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture, College of Architecture and the Arts, UIC.

Suzanne Roth, MA
Executive Director

Over the past seven years, Suzanne Roth has held management, development, and program positions in the Chicago nonprofit sector. She has worked in the areas of civic engagement, youth development, health care, and nonprofit consulting. Throughout her career, Ms. Roth has focused on initiatives that take an unconventional approach to social issues impacting urban communities. Ms. Roth has an M.A. in Social Administration from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration with concentrations in nonprofit management and community development. At the University of Chicago, Ms. Roth was a McCormick Tribune Fellow in Urban and Community Leadership. She has her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Michigan.

Cara Cantlebary Flaster, BA
Organization Manager

As Organization Manager Ms. Flaster manages the day to day business at Archeworks studios. During the 2004-05 school year, she co-facilitated a student project with Mr. Tigerman and assisted in developing the Archeworks published book Design Denied: The Withholding of Good Design and its Ethical Implications. Ms. Flaster received her BA in Communications and minored in Women's Studies at The Ohio State University. She has experience in marketing, product development and working in the music industry. In 2006 Ms. Flaster co-edited Convention Challenged: 12 Years of Archeworks with Stanley Tigerman and Eva Maddox to celebrate Archeworks’s 12 Year Anniversary.

Stephanie Edwards, BA
Development Director

As Development Director, Ms. Edwards coordinates all of Archeworks fundraising activities. She has worked for nonprofit and educational organizations including New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, Southern Reparatory Theatre and Vatterott College. Ms. Edwards is the author of two books, 101 Things a College Girl Should Know, From a Big Sister Who's Been There and 101 Things a College Guy Should Know. Ms. Edwards received bachelor’s degrees in Communications Studies and Sociology from Loyola University New Orleans.
