PROGRAM CALENDAR

In addition to our signature year-long certificate program, Archeworks offers seminars, workshops and public programs that aim to broaden a community of practice by bringing together diverse groups of individuals seeking greater meaning and impact to their work. In keeping with our philosophy of experiential learning, facilitated peer-to-peer sessions foster imaginative thinking and critical dialogue; generate proposals, prototypes and working models; and develop new models of cross-disciplinary practice and civic innovation.

Elemental Mud: Workshop Series

Led by Nance Klehm, an ecological systems designer, horticulturalist and bioinstigator, this interactive workshop series challenges participants from diverse backgrounds and professions to rethink the state of urban soil and water and explore design approaches to improve our city’s biological infrastructure.

UsingArcheworks’ educational approach of “learning by doing,” Nance’s, hands-on curriculum will cultivate an experiential knowledge, foster a broader philosophical discussion about an ecological framework, and challenge participants to develop new ways of engaging with natural systems within their professional and personal practices.
