An Investigation of Why Good Design is Withheld from Certain Segments of Society.
Funded by the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies
Archeworks is entering the third year of a three-year project which will result as a book and curricula for design schools across the country. Observations over the past ten years are clear that design is not an area of concern in areas of social need; i.e. public housing, penal systems, nursing facilities, public buildings, etc.,
Archeworks believes that good design can play a major role and provide great value to the enhancement of life, retention of community preservation of environment and serve the public for a common good. Building on our work in years one and two, we will continue to substantiate the need for good design for all, seek methods and opportunities to promote good design.
