ArcheCamp Announced
July 23rd – August 10th, 2007 Archeworks will offer a summer session consisting of a design / build orientation for Archeworks students who have little or no exposure to design or construction, as well as those with more experience. Students will participate in a quick design process, a charette, and then undertake a built response to a design problem. ArcheCamp will be an intensive, immersive, hands-on experience of cognitive and manual design processes and production concluding in a completed structure for human use. ArcheCamp will help incoming students develop a better understanding of the transformation of ideas into physical form for the upcoming Archeworks school year. Additionally, a series of lectures by some of Chicago’s most compelling and challenging architects and artists is scheduled. Schedule + Locations + Amenities ArcheCamp will be held Monday, July 23rd – Friday, August 10th, 2007. Classes are scheduled Monday – Friday, daily 9am – 6pm.
