Bid for the 2016 Olympics: Engaging Chicago’s International Communities

Archeworks students will work with local government and neighborhood groups to find creative ways to ensure the planning and development for the Summer Olympics in 2016 connects to the broader community landscape of Chicago.  Students will explore possible design strategies to engage Chicago’s international and ethnic communities in the Olympic planning process in a meaningful way by highlighting the cultural, culinary, and ethnic traditions of Chicago communities for international visitors.
