+Space: Pocket-Parks

Archeworks has partnered with Enlace in Chicago’s Little Village community for the design and activation of two vacant sites.  The goal of this project will be to engage community residents in a participatory design process that results in new open spaces that promote sustainable land use, advance community health and well-being, and celebrate the unique character and heritage of Little Village’s Mexican immigrant community. These parks are part of a broader Archeworks marketing campaign entitled +Space (Positive Space) that promotes new approaches for transforming vacant land in Little Village and across Chicago.
