Alzheimer's Patient
Car Transfer Seat                           

1989-99

Following investigations into Alzheimer's Disease, the Archeworks team desiged a car transfer device to help Alzheimer's patients into a vehicle - a process that can take as much as half an hour, due to decreased depth perception, a limitation of movement and fear of dark spaces. A prototype of the device (which also serves as a cane/walker when folded) was made by the Archeworks team and is under consideration by a medical equipment manufacturer.
