Why Do We Need A New Form of Housing?

A Sense of Community
Community is important for both physical and mental well-being.
It is helpful to live in a neighborhood where people know each other.
This community can share daily tasks easing the burden of daily life
for both young and old. A young child can walk the dog for an elderly neighbor.
A couple can tend a garden, and an older person can cook meals several times a
week for the family. Each gives what he or she can and gets assistance in return.
Homeostasis encourages adding on to existing units, co-joining houses and
creating shared spaces to create communities within a neighborhood.
