"(People who remodel) love their neighborhood,
their school system...they also love many of
the trends they see in new houses today."
- Joan McCloskey, Editor, Better Homes and Gardens
"People used to think you wind down when you reach 50, but now
there’s a different mentality that says you will stay active in
a number of ways. Our housing choices will reflect those lifestyle changes."
-Eric Belsky, Executive Director of Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies

Why Do We Need A New Form of Housing?
|
|
A Desire to Customize
We live in an era of consumerism. Americans are used to choices.
Our team looked at models from office systems such as Resolve
by Herman Miller (office components with infinite configurations),
to Compaq Computer Systems with customizable hardware and cell phones
with changeable faceplates for inspiration. From there we created
a system that appeals to many but is easily personalized.
Homeostasis offers the buyer many options upon initial purchase as
well as features that allow easy remodeling over a lifetime. Large
modules can be arranged in a variety of configurations, movable interior
walls allow infinite choices in layout, and internal and external
surfaces are created with movable and replaecable panels.
