Sean Lally,
UIC, WEATHERS
Sean Lally founded WEATHERS to embrace the potential overlap between the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture and urban design. WEATHERS does this by engaging design strategies and materiality, including energy and material qualities that offer the potential to embrace a wider bandwidth of information when seeking design solutions. Recent projects include the proposal for the Academy of Arts in Tallinn Estonia, an extension to the Stockholm City Library and an urban redevelopment of Reykjavik Iceland. Sean is most recently a co-editor and contributor to SOFTSPACE, From a Representation of Form to a Simulation of Space (Routledge, 2007) and an upcoming quest editor for an AD Journal special issue entitled "ENERGIES - New Material Energies" through Wiley Press.
